In that same year there were nearly 3,000 farms in the county. This database is a list of farmers in the county who cooperated with the Prairie Farmer Directory staff. It lists the farmer's name, spouse (including maiden name), children, acreage, and year the farmer became a resident of the county. It also indicates whether the farmer was a tenant, owner, or farm hand. Additionally, it reveals the post office and rural route of the farm, which may aid the researcher in obtaining land records.
