Ollie FYE -- HISTORY NOTES - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- from Freeport Journal Standard?, Freeport, IL, Tuesday, Dec 9? 1947 Mrs. Amelia Holsinger Mrs. Amelia Holsinger, 93, life resident of Stephenson county, died at 9 o'clock last night at her home, 428 South Chicago avenue. She was born March 5, 1854, in Freeport, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Mideke, and married Charles H. Holsinger Feb. 23, 1873. Her husband died Oct. 29 1917. The Holsingers farmed in Florence township until 1910, when they retired and moved to Freeport. Survivors include three sons, Albert and George of Freeport, and John of Sioux Falls, S. D.; five daughters, Mrs. Caroline Schmertman of Florence township, Mrs. Helen Baxter of Detroit, Mrs. Robert Loewe of Cedarville, Mrs. Laura Cavanaugh of Rockford, and Mrs. Oscar Seitz of New York city; two brothers, Frank and Fred Mideke, both of Idaho; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Holsinger was an active member of the Redeemer Lutheran church. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Walker mortuary. Rev. C. J.
