Morning listers, I am looking for descendants of Dr. David S. Stiver, a dentist in Chicago who passed away in 1913 and was buried in Lena. David had come to Lena in 1885 and was in high school there for a year. At the time of his death, three brothers were in the Stephenson area, Dr. W. B. Stiver, Dr. R. J. Stiver, and Perry O. Stiver who was, or had been, an owner of the Bulletin, a Freeport newspaper of the 1880's-90's, etc. Another brother, Dr. Thos. Jefferson Stiver, of Lena, also passed away in 1913. I am not related but own a school book that belonged to David when he was at home in Potter Mills, Centre County, PA. in 1870. With several branches of the Stiver family between Lena, Freeport, and Rock Grove at one time, I am hopeful that descendants remain or information about descendants is available in the Stephenson County area.
