Again I have come in possession of a wonderful book, to keep(yipeeee). It is the "Honor Roll of the Great War Stephenson County 1917-1919". It lists all the men from the county who were in the military during those years ... WWI. It give in alphabetical order the names of the men and the date they enlisted,discharged and their status. There is also in the front a synopsis of each division and their duty served. In some cases where men were injured or lost their lives a little more information is given. I was at the Stephenson Co. Library on Saturday. The History Room was open. I am not sure if it will be open every Sat. but apparently the Library has decided to lend staff to keep it open.
