Checked online and it says, Alfred Buxton, male, white, 46 years, certificate no. 0052567 death date 1950-12-04 Saint Clair. It will have the names of his parents on it, and frequently the funeral home and cemetary. Also the Belleville Public Library has an obituary index, and most of their newspapers on microfilm, so you may be able to get a copy of his obituary from them. That may say where he worked. Also he should be on the 1920 Census, however the only Buxton I could find for Saint Clair County was a household headed by Archie Allyn that included his married sister Geneva Buxton in East Saint Louis.
