I found my GG Jacob Pees living with the Jacob Thoma family in Belleville on the 1860 census . Does anyone on this list have any ties to this family ? It would be interesting to see if they were from the same place in Germany . It says they were from Penn. Sonny Sonny
Dear List: Dr. Joel Weintraub just put the ED descriptions for the 1930 E. St. Louis Census at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ITWIT_Census1930/files/3a%20ITWIT%20Files/IlEastStLouis.txt He also mentioned that it will soon be installed on Dr. Stephen P. Morse's "Obtaining EDs for the 1930 Census in One Step (Large Cities)" website at http://home.pacbell.net/spmorse/census/ (though it wasn't the last time I checked). The population of EStL in 1930 was about 74,000.
