List, both the St Clair CoGS website (302 pages) http://www.compu-type.net/rengen/stclair/stchome.htm and the St Clair US GenWeb Project (20 pages including those great Queries) http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilstclai/stclair.htm web pages have just been re-indexed by the FreeFind 'spider'. Scroll down the home pages until you see the Search Box. Every word is indexed. The Search Results Page is divided into two parts. Ignore the first section as it takes you to off-site commercial pages. The results you need will begin with the Bold words Search Results From This Site followed by the links. One helpful hint that allows you to keep the Results Page open/active while investigating all the links it brings up is to open a new browser window. You can accomplish this by placing your cursor over the link you want to explore, then RIGHT click with your mouse. In the pop-up box that appears, click on Open In New Window, and the linked page will appear in a new browser window. When you are done with that page, simply close it out. What remains will be the original FreeFind Results Page, no clicking the Back button to get back there. If you haven't checked your surnames in the last few months (actually days) it would be good to do this at your next opportunity. Search tips: the search will only return those names spelled exactly as you enter it. Use only one word for the search, repeat as necessary. [This is a drawback when trying to locate the name of a church. In that case it is better to go directly to the page describing that resource.] It has been sometime since either site was indexed (my oversight as I thought it was automatic). Diane
