    3. I am searching for information on any person named BAGLEY who was in St. Clair Co. in the late 1700's or early 1800's. My gg-grandfather, James Bagley came to Missouri Territory (later part of Arkansas) from St. Clair Co., Illinois by 1814 with a presumed uncle, Asher Bagley. Asher was a Revolutionary soldier, b. 1762 in NY or NJ, and James was b. 1787 in NY or NJ. Asher lost a land suit in St. Clair Co. in 1807. He testified that he was on the land 1784-1785, but two witnesses testified he wasn't there until 1798. I would like to know if there were other family members living in Illinois at the time. Asher married Catherine House in St. Clair Co. on Dec. 30, 1798. There was a brother of Asher's, Benjamin, who ended up in Arkansas also. I would like to establish a connection to Illinois and then back to Bagleys in NY. Lynda Moore
