Folks, Apparently there has been a change in the fee for birth, marriage and death records at the courthouse. See the county clerk web site at http://www.stclaircountyclerk.com/vitalrecords.asp The St. Clair county clerk's office only issues certified records (some other counties issue uncertified records). Birth certificates are available if the person is deceased, provided the birth occurred more than 75 years ago; and for deaths more than 20 years ago. Birth and marriage: $11.85 death: $13.85 personal checks are *not* permitted by mail (use money order or certified bank check)
