I'm looking for any member of the SANDER family who lived in Mascoutah, Illinois in 1860. 1860 Census for SANDER Peter, 23, France Margaret, 48, France Margaret, 18, France Joseph, 15, France Dominic, 13, France JOFFROIX, John, 28 John Joffroix is my ggrandfather and I'm desperately trying to find where in France he was born in. Joffroix may or may not be his surname spelling in France. His surname on the 1880 Census is TOFFROY. Have always been looking for John SCHOFFRA as that is my mother's maiden name.
