I am searching for the parents of my g-g-grandfather, Joseph Kountz, who according to census records and death certificate lists his place of birth as East St. Louis, Illinois. I am looking for info on him or any family members. Anyone else have any Kountz relatives from there? Apparently, the family was from France (Alsace region, which I believe is now Germany...)
