I understand there will be a Donnewald family reunion in Carlyle, IL on August 3rd, 2002. I just found out from cousins in St. Louis yesterday and don't know all of the details yet. The Donnewalds settled in St. Clair County about 1846 coming from St. Vit, Westphalia. Englebertus (Albert) married Christina Vahlkamp in 1849 in St. Libory, St. Clair County (my ancestors). Englebertus came to the USA with his sisters, Maria Catherina (Hartlage), Anna Christina (Vahlkamp), Maria Anna (Rickelman) and possibly his brother, Johann Henrich Donnewald.
