While reading microfilmed copies of the Daily Advocate, St. Clair county, Belleville, IL. I came across this article which I thought might be of interest to members of the list. Nancy Giles Class of 1899 Calls Reunion On Wednesday There were 30 members in the old Belleville High School 1899 graduating class which will hold a golden reunion dinner at six o'clock Wednesday night at Hotel Belleville. Twenty-one of them are living according to the committee in charge of the arrangements for the reunion. The high school here fifty years ago was in the old Central School building which stood on South Illinois street and the graduated of June 23, 1899, received their diplomas in exercises held at the old Opera House, west of the Post Office.
