I went to Belleville this weekend and was told by one of the Walnut Hill groundskeepers that they do not maintain a list of graves... I was told that I needed to contact City Hall to request the lot and plot information first and then return to Walnut Hill to locate my ancestors. True. The Walnut Hill plot records are at Belleville City Hall (ph: 618-233-6810). Photocopies of the same are also at the Belleville Public Library through c1995.
