List, I saw this on the IL-Central list, read the Deseret newletter (in which interviews were done with well-recognized names in genealogy), and thought it carried a good warning - read all the way to end, especially if you are in the habit of adding info to your database or tree without getting a copy of the original document to back it up. > http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,635160683,00.html Diane
Thanks Diane for sharing this with the list -very informative. One "trick" I've used when using major search engines like Google is add "-.com" (without the quotes) to my parameter. Though this does elimate some hits from Rootsweb, Ancestry and Genealogy.com, it does elimate many of the sites this articles is refering to. Queries from above will be on the list if keywords match.
