    1. [ILSTCLAI] Mueller/Muller/Miller Clan
    2. Anne Stuckey
    3. Oh joy! The names of the children you listed for Clara Miller sound so familiar! I have notes from the baptismal records from St. Paul's Catholic Church in Highland, Madison County, for some relatives who later lived in St. Clair Co. Children of Carl Mueller and Maria Tripel baptized at St. Paul: Ferdinand, b. June 1847, Amalia, b. July 1854 Amalia, b. Feb 1849. I have baptism dates for all three of these children, but notes for the second Amalia are most interesting, because her godparents were Joseph Mueller and Elisabeth (Meier) Mueller his wife. Also baptized the same day was John Christian Mueller, son of Joseph and Elisabeth. John Christian's godparents were Theodore Mueller and Maria/Mary Mueller. Is this Mary Mueller the same as the mother of Ferdinand and the two Amalias? I have been wondering for years about the relationships between Carl and Joseph and Theodore. I suspected that they were brothers or possibley cousins. I have more info on these folks, and many more questions. Would love to swap both. Anne I'm chasing Mueller/Muller/Miller, Meier/Meyer, Bold, Bee, Sauter, Pfeffer, Schwab.

    1. [ILSTCLAI] Need suggestions
    2. Hello fellow listers: I am putting on a presentation to some of the local DAR members next week on Researching on the Internet. While attending a workshop recently I found out that many of the members don't know about Cyndislist and some of the other site. They only know about FamilySearch.or and Ancestry.com. Please share with me your favorite sites for obtaining information. I am not trying to re-create Cyndis List, just prepare a simple handout to get them started. (Also, this might help other members of this list.) Many thanks. Conni Braun Chasing elusive Mitchell, Baldus, McFarland, Donley and Grefrath ancestors!

    2. Mel
    3. I am searching a Miller family in the Madison/St. Clair Counties. If anyone can tell me anything about this family, I sure would appreciate any help. I'm sort of stuck on this line. Miller/Muller/Mueller is not an easy name to search. This is what I have so far: Clara Miller's children are: 1. Charles (Carl) Miller & Wife Maria. 2. John Miller & Wife Christine. 3. Theodore Miller. 4. Mary Ann & Husband John Meyer. 5. Joseph Miller. 6. Katherine Miller who married Andreas Busch and Joseph Huber. All have/had land in the St. Jacob/Lebanon/O'Fallon areas and are found in the 1840's. Thanks in advance. Betty [email protected]

    1. [ILSTCLAI] SLONE, Ruth Obit
    2. Darrell & Nancy Giles
    3. The obit below is from the Daily Advocate, Belleville, St. Clair county, IL. I have on file a letter from the Belleville News Democrat (which the Advocate became a part of in later years) giving me permission to post any item that would be of help to genealogists. Unless stated to be a different state, all references to cities, villages etc. are in Illinois. I have been reading the Advocate on microfilm through inter library loan for several years, having started with 1850. The name of the paper and the paper date are shown at the end of each article. Transcribed and submitted by Nancy Giles Death Ends Deep Sleep Of Woman After Two Days Mrs. Ruth Slone, 31, resident of the Wies Hotel, East St. Louis, who was in a deep sleep since last Sunday (1 Oct) night after taking some medication, died late yesterday afternoon at St. Mary's Hospital, East St. Louis. An inquest in the cause of her death will be held at six o'clock tonight at the Sedlack Brothers funeral home, East St. Louis. Mrs. Slone was taken to the hospital yesterday when her husband, Claude Stone, 36, told authorities that she had been asleep since 11 p.m. Sunday. He said that his wife had complained of a back ache and that just before she went to bed she took two patent medicine tablets described as a cold and pain remedy. Slone said he was unable to wake his wife Monday and when she failed to wake up yesterday he summoned an ambulance to remove her to the hospital. 2. Wernle, Larry D JR MVS
    3. Oooh! OOOH! EASTONs and WILSONs! John, I am descendant of Estelle WILSONs sister, Gwendolyn. And I have 4 WILSON generations above Estelle. They're proving to be a pain, because they're named David, John, David, and John. My dad and I are middle-named David after Estelle's dad. I haven't seen 'em in years, but Cliffy and Randy are still around. And I don't have the exact address of Easton's Tavern, but my father could take us straight to it. Are you local? Otherwise, a check of the East St Louis City directory from the 1930's should provide the address. Yell if you're not local; I should be able to find it (for a cousin!). It will only cost you a data trade . . . ;-) Larry Wernle O'Fallon, IL [email protected] ----------Original Message---------- From: Hardester John [mailto:[email protected]] Subject: [ILSTCLAI] Clifford "Cliff" Easton's Father I am looking for the father's name of Clifford "Cliff" Easton.
