I discoved a post you made last summer regarding an e-mail list for the St. Anne area. I am researching Vandandaigue-dit-Gadbois (They actually went by Gadbois in Illinois), Granger, and Lambert in the St. Anne, Bourbonnais, and Kankakee vacinities. My Gadbois family, cousins Pierre and Joseph, came to St. Anne about 1855. Joseph and his wife, Eleanor Lambert are listed in the 1860 census. Pierre and his wife, Julie Granger, are listed as well. They were from Trois Riveres, Quebec. Although they seem to be in the right time frame for the French-Canadians following Fr. Chiniquy, they did remain loyal to the Catholic church. In fact, my husband's family, descendents of Joseph, are still very active in the Catholic Church. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. Sincerely, Rachelle Miller Beaverton, OR
