Try PRDH, it is great for finding ancestors prior to 1800. http://www.genealogy.umontreal.ca/en/main.htm It is relatively inexpensive. I signed up for 150 hits for $15.00 and in the first round, I found an ancestor married in 1769 and his surname was different than the one I had found earlier in parish records. I have passed this info on to a guy in Quebec, who has written a book on the family name, so he is following up with the info to find further data. Les Arseneau ACGS #4530
