A lot of her information was gleaned from the old newspapers and another newsy history column written by a former editor, John Bouchard. After Edith retired, that effort was taken over by Sylvia Soucie, who is now deceased. Any of those articles are treasures! Edith's parents were Arthur Gustave Sirois(1872-1941) and Mary Hillary Driver(b.1873 in Yorkshire,England). Edith's grandparents were Jean Baptiste Sirois(1844-1930) and Francis Brunelle Driver(1845-1935) Her parents were Thomas Areton and Alice Hillary Driver. This information is from the IROQUOIS COUNTY HISTORY book (1985) If I remember right, these families lived a short distance southwest of St. Anne... Note: Pat- I would have answered you directly, but for some reason (my server?) if members don't put their name and email address at the bottom of their messages, I never know who sent the emails!! Frustrating, sometimes...is this just MY problem?
