This makes a lot of sense to me. Robert Roach From: ddebolt@mail.uwf.edu (Dean DeBolt) DearMYRTLE, I would like to remind your many readers that when they celebrate the successful help that they have received in a library, archives, or museum, that they take the time to write a short thank you letter to the director of that library, archives, or museum. As a university librarian, I work (hopefully successfully) with hundreds of genealogists and family historians every year, as do my colleagues at the public library and local historical society. If only one in ten expressed their appreciation for our collections, facilities, and staff...to the directors of these institutions, I think you'd see many of us getting increased funds to purchase more research materials, improve those photocopiers, and even additional staff. Just a thought. Dean DeBolt University Librarian Special Collections and West Florida Archives John C. Pace Library University of West Florida 11000 University Parkway Pensacola, FL 32514-5750
