Hi everyone, I have a question about one of my ancestors and I'm not quite sure it belongs on this list or not. If it doesn't, my apologies. In late June of 1941, Bernard Sawicki murdered my great-great-uncle HENRY ALLAIN. I've been given some copies of some newspapers articles about the time this happened. My dad has always told me that Sawicki received the death penalty for this and the other murders he committed at the time. However, in searching around the net I think I've located Bernard Sawicki's SS death file.(I've forgotten the url for it.) It indicated he died circa 1990. Does anyone have information about what happened to Bernard Sawicki? Was he convicted and if so, what penalty was he given? Thank you, Deb Allain
