The St. Anne Centennial Souvenir Booklet "The Heritage of St. Anne" contains a picture entitled "The Old St. Anne Church." "The Saga of St. Anne" booklet indicates construction of the church began in 1872, was opened in 1873, the interior was completed in 1886 or 1887 and it was gutted by fire in 1893.
