Ardis i'm still here, too. trying to translate 2400 ancestors from paper to digital records, and finally getting certified copies of all the source materials in between. the place i'm stuck right now is on my father's maternal side. her maiden name is FRANKER, and i've had no problems tracing them back to quebec, but the other three maternal lines have me hanging. Eli Franker/Francoeur (b 6/10/1848) m Mary Delibac/Dillabeck/somethinglikethat (b 5/12/1853) ca Jan 1869 in Iriquois Co, IL and Hubert Gelino/Gelineau (b c1853) m Milodell Bordre/Bodric/Beaudry (b c1863) in dec 1879 in kankakee, il. Milodell's mother is Armailen Marion, and father is Noal/Noel Bodric/Boudreau. hubert and eli were both born in canada, and immigrated to the US -- specifically the iriquois/kankakee, IL area. milodell and mary were both born in kankakee, il, but parents were born in Canada. to complicate things further, milodell divorced hubert in the late 1880s, and remarried eli franker's brother, remi, in 1893. and family rumour has it that milodell and mary are related somehow, possibly half sisters. oi! -- alyska. ----------- http://www.alyska.net

Hi Ardys, I'm still here, too. Not doing much geneology but busy coping with a 90-degree summer and volunteering with the St. Louis chapter of Assistance League, which takes up most of my time now. I understand that my cousin, Colleen Goyette Chenore, wife of Viator (Mac) Chenore, has passed away recently. I will try to access obituary from the Daily Journal.
