    3. Hello: Well, if your Henry was married in 1878, then he is not the Henry found by Brenda, but then she did not have any dates to go by. And I can also see some descrepancies that you refered to. The Prudence Benoit, nee Desnoyer and daughter of Francois, died May 12, 1904. She was born August , 1824. (From book printed by Cloud County Genealogical Society. Her death is also recorded in the St Joseph Church Records (Cloud County) as recorded by Bob Gieber. Now when Rose Benoit married Louis Roy , the St Mary's church records stated that she is the daughter of Honore Benoit and Onesime Desnoyer. Below you stated that the mother of Henry was a Lizzie Denoyer. So now we have three Desnoyer's, Prudence, Onesime and Lizzie. I suspect that these three are not the same person but then again they could be. I believe that Bob Gieber used to moniter this list. If you do not here from any Benoits or from someone else, I will send you his email address although it may not be current. Bob had recorded some church records in Washington County so he may have some information pertinent to your search. One thing you might do is to have the Cloud County Genealogical Society look up an obituary for Prudence. Their research rates are very reasonable. I have a Onsime-Lizzie (Elizabeth) Langlois born 1868 in Manteno,IL. The census takers and county clerks loved to spell the name as how they heard it pronounced . I have a Benoit line in Manteno,St.George area of Kankakee Co. and would need more dates to research the names. a Bientot Jack Langlois

    3. Most people with the name "Onesime" (OH-NAY-ZIM) would use the name "Lesime" (LAY-ZIM). The names were interchangeable.. Like Elizabeth & Isabelle. Lizzie was used by Lezime's DENOYER & DESNOYER are said the same way.
