Bonjour, everyone! As always, I am amazed at the interesting and valuable information this list unearths from its so-assiduous subscribers! I myself had no idea of an Indiana connection for the St. Anne area French, and find this recent exchange most fascinating. In fact, not sop long ago I didn't know anything about the St. Anne French having gone to Kansas and other western states - silly me, I guess I thought they all pretty much stayed in St. Anne - although now I think of it, there were two Chiniquy brothers who went to Minnesota. I guess I should have known. Knowing that a number of the families went to Indiana should help us find some thought-to-be-lost relatives - just as some of our list have found family in Kansas and elsewhere, using clues developed through first our St. Anne interest eMail group and now though this RootsWeb list.
