Hi listers, My wife and I each have an ancestor who was a German soldier serving on the side of the British in the American Revolution. There were about 2000 of these soldiers who stayed in Quebec after the war and they were discharged in 1783. So, if you have a German ancestor who married a Quebec girl/lady, it is more than likely that he was one of these soldiers. I would suggest that you become a member of the following email list to help you in your research: AMREV-HESSIANS-L-request@rootsweb.com There is also a website that may interest you: http://www.cgo.wave.ca/~hessian Good luck Les Arseneau Fountain Valley, CA ACGS #4530
