Lou - I took a look at both the transcription, and the actual sheet. The reason those names seem a little strange is because the handwriting on the sheet is horrible. Mr. B could be Bougrand. The only thing I noticed was his occupation was listed as a supervisor of a college dining room, so, since he works in a different place, I'm thinking he runs some kind of rooming house. All the servants would make sense then. I have some questions about all of his *sisters* though - they all have a different last name, but there are no husbands with them? I suppose they could be his sisters, then I was thinking they might be nuns - nun=soeur=sister? But I don't think nuns would have been living in a private residence in 1900. Maybe someone on the list can answer about that. They all listed their occupation as overseer, which means they are some kind of boss, but no industry was listed. So, what did they oversee? The house? The servants? Maybe someone familiar with the area can tell what college Mr B. might have worked at.
