Some of you have expressed an interest in the subject records and I happy to announce that I have completed the project of translating & transcribing these records from photographs of the original French language records that I shot in September of 2002. The baptismal, marriage & burial records are for the period of 1859, when the parish of Ste-Marie (called St. Mary's today) began keeping records, up to 1920. The pastor would not allow me to shoot any records after 1920. The same type of records for St-Joseph are for the period of 1899 to 1933. The translations are contained in MS Word documents that can be read by almost any word processing program. The photo images are in JPG format that can be read by any image viewer program. I will produce these files on a CD for anyone interested, as follows: -The MS Word document files can be purchased for $30.00. -The photo images of the original documents can be purchased for $20.00. -The MS Word docs AND the photo images on one (1) CD can be purchased for $40.00. Please send me an email advising of your desire to purchase by replying to this message AND send a check in the name of Leslie H. Arseneau to: Les Arseneau 16637 Mt. Michaelis Circle Fountain Valley, CA 92708 (714) 775-2412 If you would like to see an example of what you will be getting on the CD, please send a request via email and I will send you an attachment of one page of the MS Word documents and a photo image of the original records covering the same period of time. Les
Les, Do you have St. Mary's records indexed? If so, is it possible to purchase the index before getting the rest of the records? Joanne Boudreau Yes, the St. Mary's records are indexed. That is what took so long to complete the project. However, at the present time I do not plan to sell just the indexes. Maybe at some later date I might consider it.
