Listers, In reviewing some data on my Bonneville, provided to me by Dave King(thanks again Dave), I noticed a name I've not encountered before. Looking for info on Louis KUERRAUX and also Josephte Studer (Doxtoder??) who were godparents at the baptizing of Louis-Pierre Boudreau on July 12, 1869 son of Pierre and Ezilda Boudreau. Google search has nothing on KUERRAUX. Tried several variants....zip nada. Anyone ever heard of the KUERRAUX family??? Thanks all. Traffic on St. anne list has been very light lately. Hope everyone is surviving the winter so far. Alan Boudreau __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! I'm not sure how the sponsors were chosen, if they were all married couples, or one sponsor from the mother's side of the family and one from the father's side? I would suppose that the Josephte Studer is Judith-Josphe DOXTODER who married Joseph BOUDREAU. She is the only Josephte STUDER that was in Kankakee County that I'm aware of. Here brother Georges DOXTODER (m. Martine LaVOIE) was also in the area, but they didn't have any daughters named Josphe. The name Giroux shows up in forms like that every now and then. There were several Giroux families in St. Anne at the time and they did tie in occasionally with the Boudreau clan. If your Louis Kuerraux is actually Louis Giroux, he is probably related to Theotine Timothy Giroux (see Dave King's website) or a visitor from Quebec. The other main Giroux branch at that time had some Louis Giroux's, but none would have been old enough to act as godparents in 1869.
