What I know without the dictionary (could be wrong): "Cure" is a priest of some sort. "Arpent" is a unit of money. Don't know "sickles". "Signoire" is I think an honorific, something like "M'lord". Put M-W on your bookmark list - you'll find it useful. Foreign words are included if they have or had some use in English. Cheers! Ginny
