Yes, they may have a nice church, but they are VERY reluctant to help genealogists. >> I wrote to them three years ago and received a short note verifying the death: Letter from St. Rose Church May 1997 says: "Funeral Record found on Adeline Lami - spouse of Jean-Baptiste Allie. Died 2/17/1905. Funeral 2/20/1905 by Rev. A.D. Granger, Pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church, Kankakee, IL." Burial was verified at St Rose Catholic Cemetery. They were not able to locate her husband's burial records...from 1870's. I was told the cemetery records had been stored in the local bank vault and the bank burnt destroying the records. Audrey
