Chiniquy was instrumental in founding= =20 the Christian Catholic Church after he left the Roman Catholic church; other= s=20 who served on the first Board of Directors of the CCC were: MICHEL ALLAIS D=C9SIR=C9 DROLET GEORGES GAUTHIER MO=CFSE LANGELIER JOSEPH MARTIN LOUIS MERCIER ABRAHAM PELLETIER ANSELME ROBILLARD THOMAS LORTIE At the Bishop's request, I sent a copy of a photograph of Achille Chiniquy=20 [Board secretary] to the church for its archives. Bishop Theriault=20 responded: =20 <<<It was very moving for all of us to see the picture of Mr. Achille=20 Chiniquy, who was Secretary of the First CCC Board. I was wondering: is there a way we can find the photographs of the other members of the first Board: [and he lists the names given above] >>>> Those are all St. Anne names, of course! I hope some of you will recognize= =20 them and will be able to identify them in photographs. I had my photograph= =20 of Achille enlarged and printed on heavy SEPIA stock at Kinko's - it wasn't= =20 expensive and looked great! I know the Bishop will appreciate any photos=20 and/or information you can send him about these first-signers [of the=20 foundation document]. It seems most of us have an interest in the early=20 days of this church and its influence on our St. Anne families, so it would=20 be nice if your replies to the Bishop would be sent via the list.=20 Salut to all!
