I, and others, have had a great deal of trouble in trying to get any help at all as far as their records are concerned. Records of several grandparents and gr. grandparents and gr. gr. grandparents are contained at St. Rose. A few years ago, my husband and I went to the office to try to get the records of my grandparents marriage. I had the date and everything. We were met with extreme rudeness on the part of the individuals working there, and we left unable to believe we had been treated so badly because of such a simple request. When we arrived home, I wrote a letter to Bishop Imesh in Joliet. It was only after a letter was sent to St. Rose from the Bishop's office, that I received from St. Rose the information I had requested. I've not been in any hurry to try and find any further information from that church. It's a real shame, because as Brenda mentioned, they have some very old records. Like Brenda, I too, have had much more success and have encountered nothing but friendly and helpful people in the churches of Quebec. I can only hope St. Rose has changed its attitude.......because what I ran up against was certainly far from a Christian attitude. Myrna
