It is good to hear first-person accounts, good and bad, about the reception accorded genealogical researchers at these various churches. We need to be candid about our experiences so as to inform others and, eventually perhaps, to effect change where it is needed to inform family historians. Don't forget, though, that sometimes it is only one cranky underpaid person who sets the tone for a facility - and maybe the facility itself doesn't know that people are being turned away or that an employee is rude or disinterested.
