Sounds good to me. Many of the names are hard to understand. I did an advanced search on the 1860 census for Kankakee county, Illinois, leaving the surname and first name blank. I just asked for all white males born in Canada that lived in Kankakee county in 1860. There were 988 of them. I then had them ordered in the list by given name alphabetically. All whose name started with an 'E' would be on the same page or two. Remember that these are all indexed by someone unfamiliar with many of these 'foreign' names from almost illegible script. Here are the given names that start with an 'E' in the index Just for an example. I can guess at a few of the original spellings, but will have to leave others as is. Ebro BRUNO aged 50 (?) Ebro BRUNO aged 22 (?) There are 9 men with the given name of Edward. Egnes MANOR aged 22 (Ignace) Egzet JURANT aged 27 (?) Elair TOWNSEND aged 43 (?) Elam RASSETT aged 30 (?) 5 men named Eli and one Elie and one Eloi Elmer MARCOTT Emgele RENEAU aged 38 (?) Enos ROSETTE aged 60 (I have seen this one to be from Ignace) Eppollet BRASSAUX age 21 (?) Erna LIMER aged 45 (?) 9 men with versions of Etienne (Etieme Etiene Etime Ettan Ettime Ettine) Eubert Brovo aged 27 (Hubert) Eunasus Russet aged 56 (another Ignace?) Eusebe TITRAULT aged 46 (Correct?) Eusep FIFE aged 40 (another Eusebe?) Exavier COUTEHORNE age 36 (?)
