    3. Harriet St. John Miller, 76, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2005. She lived in El Paso for 36 years. She had many interests including: gardening, bridge and cooking for a crowd. Harriet delighted in the quest of the perfect bargain. She loved education and continued to perfect her Spanish skills. She enjoyed practicing her Spanish with the friends she made on her bus trips to downtown. She made friends with everyone she met. One of ther best friends, Eva Alvarez was initially her daughters' friend. Harriet worked in Tupperware and at Regal Supply and Chemical. She was a proud founding member of the Unitarian Universalist Community of El Paso. She served on the Board of Trustees and was the Chair of the Caring Committee at death. She received a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Education from Moorhead State University. She pursued graduate work in Statistics with a minor in Sociology at the University of Minnesota and maintained Dean's List status. She is survived by her mother, Edith Paro, of ND, sisters Genie Jensen of ND and Ruth Dienst of MN. Children Cyndi Sweet of Richardson, TX, Lyal Miller of Japan, Claire Miller of Manhattan, and Laura M. Patrick of Garland, TX. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren in Texas; Claire Sweet of Austin, Joshua Sweet, Caitlin Sweet, and Gillian Leigh Sweet of Richardson, and Robert Jaxon Patrick of Garland. Services are to be held at the UU Community at 4425 Byron at 6:00 pm Sunday, the 17th of July, 2005. Contributions may be made to the UU Community of El Paso.
