Thank you! i'm working on this line right now, actually. my line comes through george's brother hubert gelino, who was my gg-grandfather. hubert had been a pickle to track, so i'm trying to find family information through his siblings. right now, the vital records i have listed for my gelino relatives are archived on my genealogy site here: http://www.alyska.net/genealogy/baileyrecords.html (this is my paternal side.) if anyone else has information, please let me know! -- alyska. ----------- http://www.alyska.net

It's possible that they moved. A cousin born in 1932 remembers that when his father would go to Clifton (I think), he remembers that they would stop and visit with "Grandma Fountain". Being a kid at the time, he doesn't remember where she lived. >From: "Cyndi Sweet" <Mama.CAS@comcast.net> >Reply-To: ILSTANNE-L@rootsweb.com >To: ILSTANNE-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: RE: [ILSTANNE] cemetary location >Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2005 22:11:23 -0500 >MIME-Version: 1.0 >Received: from lists2.rootsweb.com ([66.43.18.39]) by mc11-f37.hotmail.com >with Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.211); Tue, 13 Sep 2005 20:11:30 -0700 >Received: (from slist@localhost)by lists2.rootsweb.com (8.12.10/8.12.8) id >j8E3Abb3026245;Tue, 13 Sep 2005 21:10:37 -0600 >X-Message-Info: EoYTbT2lH2MtUOOAbiqIgdzbhkE6ala5JXR55gctlKg= >Resent-Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2005 21:10:37 -0600 >X-Original-Sender: Mama.CAS@comcast.net Tue Sep 13 21:10:37 2005 >Old-To: <ILSTANNE-L@rootsweb.com> >X-Mailer: Microsoft Office Outlook, Build 11.0.6353 >X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2900.2180 >Thread-Index: AcW4y4nRRVJUyTqBSaeWJUgn8MfuywACirtA >X-Spam-Score: 2.296 (**) >DNS_FROM_RFC_POST,DNS_FROM_RFC_WHOIS,MSGID_FROM_MTA_HEADER,MSGID_FROM_MTA_ID >X-Scanned-By: MIMEDefang 2.52 on 192.168.16.34 >X-MIME-Autoconverted: from quoted-printable to 8bit by lists2.rootsweb.com >id j8E3AbsY026192 >Resent-Message-ID: <OBs3tB.A.cZG.tS5JDB@lists2.rootsweb.com> >Resent-From: ILSTANNE-L@rootsweb.com >X-Mailing-List: <ILSTANNE-L@rootsweb.com> archive/latest/5929 >X-Loop: ILSTANNE-L@rootsweb.com >Precedence: list >Resent-Sender: ILSTANNE-L-request@rootsweb.com >Return-Path: ILSTANNE-L-request@rootsweb.com >X-OriginalArrivalTime: 14 Sep 2005 03:11:30.0762 (UTC) >FILETIME=[00E9A2A0:01C5B8DA] > > >They seem to have died before 1910. Everything agrees except the "sister of Mary" part. I don't have that connection. A cousin got the info from Grandpa John, son of Joseph (grandpa mumbled a bit), that Josephs' family was in the restaurant business in Paris. When a son came of age, they would select a bride for him and set up the couple with a new restaurant and the family business would grow. Joseph found out the he was scheduled to marry a girl he had known for a long time, and he couldn't stand her! He ran away, and when they were taking names at the ferry boat (probably going to England and then to the New World), he saw "ferry" on the boat and gave that as his last name. Now you know as much as I know! If you read French and can get hold of Paris city directories for restaunts an then to the names of the owners, you just might break through the "wall" that has been my problem. In a message dated 9/13/2005 3:45:49 PM Pacific Standard Time, jtdjacks@hotmail.com writes: "Grandma Fountain". +++++++++++++++++++++++ I think there was a Presbyterian clergyman named FOUNTAIN who stood in for Fr. Chiniquy when he (Chiniquy) was off on a long speaking tour. Was there something in the SAga of St. Anne about this??? Who knows? Ardis, I bet! Salut to all, Ginny
Joseph Ferry married Rosalie Tetreau August, 1872. Can anyone tell me when he died and where his body is buried? Also, in going through my mothers' photographs I found a photo titled "Grandma Fountain". Could Widow Ferry have married a Mr. Fountain? And where and when? Any help would be appreciated. Jim Jackson
