    2. Hi, Jerriann! Nice to hear from you - except that I recalled to my chagrin that I still owe you a few bucks for the darling photo of the little boy. Sorry! It's on my desk and will shortly be paid - so late - my apologies. I appreciate your sending the photo, which I love. And the Chiniquy note - what a find! Isn't your ancestor Dr. DeMars? You might tell the list that, so they get the connection re the exhumation. I hope someone can find out what that was all about. Maybe this exhumation had to do with a mysterious death that might NOT have been natural. I have personally been mystified why there wasn't a big Lizzie-Borden-type media circus as a result of the Chiniquy axe murders (somewhat later in time, of course). 2. Jerrian D. Barsness
    3. Hello List, Been going through things I have, again today, and ran across an old piece of paper. It is written in French by Father Chinoquy, and I can't read French, but it has something to do with the exhumation of the body of Phoebe Boudreau, spouse of Julian Boudreau, Circa, 1850. Perhaps something to do with a quarrantine??? St. Anne, Kankakee, Illinois. Signed by Charles Chinoquy. I'm just guessing as to the contents, but if someone would like me to see if I can scan it to them, using JPG, I would try to do that. Jerrian

    3. Just had to comment -- It is so richly rewarding to witness 'connections' with families coming together even though they may be generations apart...they are still family finding each other after all this time! I only hope that someday I will also be able to experience this kind of pleasure. I am so very happy for those of you who have had the chance(s). Good luck to everyone else. It has been said that good things come to those who wait...... The Association of American Boyers are going to print with the next volume, which has a July 2000 deadline. 44 Boyer listings were noted when I did a search. I'm sure a few of them belong to me. I would send you the names I am searching for. Please write to me directly at NiteOwl226@aol.com since this is NOT St Anne related. Audrey Peters

    3. Karen - In looking again at the information and the female descendants ... 1. Re: [ILSTANNE] LATOURNEAU could be LETOURNEAU?
    2. << LATOURNEAU could be LETOURNEAU? >> You betcha! Remember - one of the first rules of genealogical research is: don't sweat the spelling. In most of the records we encounter, the surname has been entered phonetically, as it was heard by the one who wrote it down. It was less often written by the one whose name it actually was, if indeed that person had settled on one spelling or another (not always the case). The result was - lots and lots of different spellings. Have fun! Ginny list admin - ILSTANNE

Apropos the above, please remember that we are not to send attachments via the RootsWeb system - gums up the works, apparently. So please send attachments only with messages going directly to your correspondent, not to the list. Thank you. 3. Thank you for your reply, Karen. However, this appears not to be the same Napoleon. I have been told that there are number of Napoleon's in that time period. The information I have is that this Napoleon, b March 1, 1855, m. to Josephine Paradis, is a son of Luke/Luc Boudreau and Aurelie Landry. I show a Cyprien another son, like Luke/Luc, of Pierre B. and Dororthy/Dorthee Tremblay. That Cyprien I show is born 1823 - wife, Pelagie m. November 23, 1843 in St. Valentin, Quebec. Let me know if that information connects in any way with what you have. I don't have anything more downline of Cyprien. Thank you.
