You will need to subscribe to the PRDH on line or ask someone in this forum to look up the parents in the PRDH at the Bourbonnais Library. However here is what I found on line in the public PRDH, baptisms for Chambly Parents: Jean Baptiste Lacoste et Marie Hebert Children: All at Chambly,, Antoine ,born 1769, Marie, burial 1771, Joseph, born 1776, Marie Charlotte, born 1777,Joseph,born 1779 > Jean Baptiste Segaud m. You may try the PRDH for baptisms of individuals with these names for that time period. END

I'm writing to ask if there was any indication in the obit where he lived locally (California). His family might like to know that St. Anne lives on in the lives of many - wacko genealogists though they may be. PS - I have a friend here who as a kid spent summers on a farm near Momence - AND we found it out after just a few days acquaintance. Whew! Best to all, Ginny
Imagine my surprise as I was skimming thru the obits in this morning's Monterey, California, newspaper, and I saw an obituary notice for recently deceased Robert McConnell, 81, born April 19, 1921, in St. Anne, IL. He was a navy pilot in WW II and flew escort for the Doolittle raid on Tokyo. Maybe some on the list knew him or the family. Sons & daughters of St. Anne reach out far and wide, yea even unto the West Coast.

Hi List - A couple of years ago, Les Arseneau posted the website for the Kankakee Daily Journal: http://www.daily-journal.com/ I came across his message again today in one of my mail folders and checked out the site. They have an archive there with 3,626 obituaries on line, I don't know how far back they go. Click on the web url; click on archives; a search box will come up. If you just select obituaries from the newspaper section box you will get them all. I thought I would send this in again since there seem to be a few new listers, and send my thanks to Les for posting this site in the first place. Hi Kay, I see a Belanger name on that list. Has to be one of mine. I'll save it for later to see where he fits in. Thanks for your help. Karen
Let's try this again: Rec'd the following communication from Kay Geist, a Chayer descendant: Hi, Here is some research I did on French Canadian families that lived in the same township as my Clement and Melina Chayer. There was another big community of them in Cloud County that I haven't done yet. I thought maybe your ILSTANNE group would like to see the names.
