Imagine my surprise as I was skimming thru the obits in this morning's Monterey, California, newspaper, and I saw an obituary notice for recently deceased Robert McConnell, 81, born April 19, 1921, in St. Anne, IL. He was a navy pilot in WW II and flew escort for the Doolittle raid on Tokyo. Maybe some on the list knew him or the family. Sons & daughters of St. Anne reach out far and wide, yea even unto the West Coast.
