    3. I have a Jean-Baptiste Clouatre (Vital and Agathe Marchant) m 23 jan 1815, Phoebe Comeau (Joseph Benoni and Rosalie Guerin) b. 23 feb 1799. Daughter, Rose b. 1822 m. 16 Oct 1838, Narcisse Boudreau b. 1816 (Etienne and Marie Bourassa) Daughter Rosalie m. bef 1866 Delphis Lafond (Joseph "Isaac" and Marie-Olive Canac-Marquis.). This family lived in Illinois, coming from Canada. Later Delphis and family then moved to Minnesota. This sound like the same family, but I got my info from Ken Lafond and he only had Rose's name as the child of Jean-Baptiste and Phoebe. I will chack the PDRH to see if there is any more info available on the parents of Jean Baptiste and Phoebe. 3. If it's any help on locating Emerance Fortin (married to Zephiron Francoeur), I also found her listed as Armenience at St. Mary's cemetary and in the Illinois State Geneaological Society Surname Index (1997). Her dates are 1825-1873, and they were married around 1845. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Brown" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, November 21, 2002 8:27 AM Subject: Re: [ILSTANNE] Francoeurs > Hi Carol Ann: > > Thank you very much....very kind of you...........;-)) > > TTYL...................*<;0{O}...John Brown > ============ > [email protected] > Fax: 1-613-257-7840 > Receiving from 7am to 6pm > ============ > > Subject: Re: [ILSTANNE] Francoeurs > > > > Bonjour John, > > > > There is a bunch of them in this book but I will be glad to type the info up > > over the next couple of days and send it to you. > > > > Carol Anne > > > > In a message dated 11/20/02 6:33:32 AM Pacific Standard Time, > > [email protected] writes: > > > > To Carol Ann: > > > > > > Hi Carol Ann - I am trying to do a 1 name study of the FORTIN > > > namesake...Wondering how many FORTINs are mentioned in the book for St > > > Anne, Kankakee Co., Il. > > ______________________________

    3. Hi Laura: I think our family connection is thru Marcel and Esther. I show Zepherin, Amedee and Joseph as their sons. My family line goes thru Amedee. His son Souverign is my grandfather. Souverign's son Lawrence was my father. I believe Souverign and his wife,Melia Lareau, had 12 children. I'm pretty sure all of Marcel's children were born in P.Q. and died in Illinois. My family went from Beaverville to the Chicago area. I'm currently living in Muncie, Indiana. How about you? I tried your email address but it comes back,"delivery fail". 3. Members, I have a problem, have a person born to a Regnier & raised by a St. Pierre, or visa versa. If a correction is not made she has descendants listed as being blood relatives of Regnier, St. Pierre and VadeBonCoeurs. When did it become a law to adopt legally rather than just giving them to anyone. I have a Marr that was raised in the Lemoine family, and cannot find marriage records of the Marr & Lemoine. Have her baptism record in Canada born to a Marr & Lusignon, but all other records she used the last name of Lemoine. Hope someone can give me advise. Ardis

    3. Laura - Welcome to the "family" of St. Anne's List - We have some AWESOME MEMBERS! This address was given to me a couple years ago, and goes back to the first LeClerc in Canada on this line. I do think that your Francoeur family would be in there somewhere - MINE WAS! http://www/3.sympatico.ca/ffrancoeur/Fra/JeanLeclerc4.html IF you do not copy/paste this address, make sure that behind the www you put a SLASH and NOT a (.)The (.) is after the #3 which is different!(www/3.) I kept typing the address wrong when I first tried to go into it, and where letters are capitalized; the "F, J,& L" only--make sure you cap those too. If you can not get into the site, let me know. Settled in Limestone Township, Section 18. He inherited 80 acres of land from Charlot Fortin, with whom he was living. Married to Marie Brosseau. To this union seven daughters were born. Suddenly I am overwhelmed with a large number of siblings and now the beginnings of information from the previous generation. I have what may be a stupid question. I have read some of the history of Acadiens but have no idea how to determine if my family is among them. Now with entry of these marriages in Ledoux's book - is that confirmation of that? I am very interested in learning more about my heritage. Thank you Rolayne Nelson Arroyo Grande, CA
