Bonjour Everyone Is anyone researching the RIVARD surname. I am trying to find a Joseph RIVARD, born abt 1850 or 1860. Married Mary (last name unknown), born abt 1864. When Joseph died, Mary married Ludger MARCEAU abt 1928. I know I don't have much to go on but I'm hoping this will click with someone. Carol Anne

I truly hope someone come give me more information about my mother....thankyou Tina Boucher Novak
I am hoping to find someone who connects to the family of Adele Sanche Masson and Felix Masson. They are shown in the 1870 census in Kankakee and in the 1880 census in St. Anne. They lived in St. Anne for many years. According to a family letter the family maintained this home for more than 75 years. Their residence was built by her brother Aurel Sanche who was my gggrandfather. Hattie their daughter never married and was living with her parents in the 1900 census. Lillie married Reuben L. Edwards and they lived in Kankakee area too. The name Masson later was changed to Mason. Below is a FTM Genealogy report that might help someone connect. Descendants of Felix Masson Generation No. 1 1. FELIX1 MASSON was born March 1834 in French Canada, and died July 25, 1925 in St. Anne, Kankakee Co. IL. He married ADELE SANCHE February 17, 1868 in Kankakee, IL certificate # 1994, daughter of UNKNOWN. She was born May 1842 in French Canada, and died March 1, 1932 in St. Anne, Kankakee Co. IL. Children of FELIX MASSON and ADELE SANCHE are: i. ALBINA2 MASSON, b. 1868. ii. HATTIE MASSON, b. April 1870, St. Anne, Kankakee Co. IL; d. January 17, 1926, St. Anne, Kankakee Co. IL. iii. My apologies to listers for the recent virus alert notices I rashly sent out. I shouldn't have posted a virus alert--even a legit one--in the first place, but when I saw the supposed virus on my own hard drive I lost my head and pushed the panic button. Then it turned out to be a hoax after all. Zut alors! 'Twon't happen again.
Hello: If you one replies, you can go down to your local Family History Center (LDS Morman Church) and rent the microfilm for the Kankakee County Marriage Register. It will show the names of the parents. richard graveline Georgia ----- Original Message ----- From: "Janis K. Hi everyone, I have a question about one of my ancestors and I'm not quite sure it belongs on this list or not. If it doesn't, my apologies. In late June of 1941, Bernard Sawicki murdered my great-great-uncle HENRY ALLAIN. I've been given some copies of some newspapers articles about the time this happened. My dad has always told me that Sawicki received the death penalty for this and the other murders he committed at the time. However, in searching around the net I think I've located Bernard Sawicki's SS death file.(I've forgotten the url for it.) It indicated he died circa 1990. Does anyone have information about what happened to Bernard Sawicki? Was he convicted and if so, what penalty was he given? Thank you, Deb Allain
Good morning, Agnes St. Pierre, 1880-1965, dau of Mose St. Pierre and Marie Marguerite Cheffer married Cleophas Manny, 1874-1959. Does anyone know the names of the parents of Cleophas? Thanks, Jan Zewari
Bonjour Everyone, I have been in touch with Leona, the nice women who is putting all the Kankakee County Cemeteries on this web page. For those people trying to use the web site to find someone, I thought I'd pass this information on to you so that you will have an idea what has been done and not done. Carol Anne Hi Carol, Too bad you are so far away in Oregon, to walk cemeteries here with me. Well I would have to check my records to make sure, but as far as I remember I have added, All Saints, Maternity BVM. Van Meter, Hall and Smith Cemeteries. Also I have added all of the Mt Calvary, except the 2002 till now. St. Rose I have entered about half of the cemetery. The other half my friend Kim has, but she is in the hospital at this time. I am currently working on Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Kankakee. *************************************

Hello: You did not give any dates but there was a Georgo O. Goudreau who was 11 years old in the 1870 Census. His parents names were Louis Goudreau and Anastasia Demars. George and his new wife with their two sons (George and Paul) lived next door to Louis in the 1880 Census. They got married pretty young. You might have a problem finding the marriage. richard graveline Georgia ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2003 2:07 PM Subject: [ILSTANNE] Georges GOUDREAU > Bonjour Everyone, > > I'm looking for the parents, children, etc for Georges Goudreau who married > Angelina-Hermine Chiniquy, dau of Louis & Emilie L'Ecuyer. > > Angelina is buried at St Rose Cemetery in Kankakee (Hermine Goudreau) but I > can't find anything on her husband, Georges. > > Any help will be greatly appreciated. > > Carol Anne

Hello there: Here is a tip that was published in yesterday's issue of the Roots Web Weekly Review. In the event that you don't receive the Review, you might want to note the following. Search Strategies for Some Online LDC 1880/1881 Census Transcriptions By Ted Pack [email protected] In November 2002 the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints put transcriptions of the 1880 United States Census, the 1881 Canadian Census and the 1881 British Isles Census online at its website: http://www.familysearch.org/ The search engine attached to the database is a work of genius. However, the help screens attached to the database, lack examples. Since it came out, I've spent a couple of hours a week on their site, looking for everyone I have in my database born between 1805 and 1880. Some people are easier to find than others. I have a list of examples to try if you don't find your ancestor on the first try, at http://www.tedpack.org/lds1880.html I don't claim to be a genius at searching, but I have spent a lot of hours with the data. After a while you get to know what to do. Previously published in RootsWeb Review: Vol. 6, No. 21, 21 May 2003. The Bovies Sandy and Bob Lancaster, PA [email protected] [email protected]

It was ok. I am hoping it did not send it's self out to any of you. I have a e-mail blocker !0000.worm at the beginning of my address book, which is suppose to work in cases like this.
