Barbara, Those still living at home, after 1850, and the close by neighbors in 1850, are the best. The close neighbors were usually married children, or parents. There are marriage, and death records. But, the very best is the will left by parents. This will give you names. Then, you can search land records, for purchase and sale. The spouses name is generally in the records, and grown children usually witness such papers. And, last, but certainly not least, is wonderful help from other researchers. Dori
