Nancy: I have a great deal of information on the Pughs, Pyles, Halls, etc. A few notes to assist your research: 1. Mary Pyle's father was John Pyle, grandfather Samuel Pyle. Interesting information about this family I received from Patricia Oates of this list. 2. The combined History of Shelby and Moultrie Counties, available on the net, has a great deal of information about Pughs. Evidently they were known as intrepid hunters and very early settlers.
