Hi Patty, I don't know the cost of the fee for a death certificate, so hopefully someone can tell you that. However, I want to let you and everyone know that there was a fire in the Shelby County Courthouse (in the elevator shaft), so the courthouse is closed for the time being. If no one knows the cost of a death certificate, then you might want to call them. If you don't have a cell phone, then let me know (off-list) and I'll call them in a week or so and find out for you.
