I have seen several e-mails posted recently about this but no e-mail for this William is specified in any that I can find. ---Richard ----- Original Message ----- From: <marmil4@juno.com> To: <ILSHELBY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 31, 2004 11:58 AM Subject: Re: I do look-ups of marriages &1875,1895,1914 plats & 1850 to 1870 census > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: LEMONS, SIMS > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Vh.2ADE/812.4 > > Message Board Post: > > Hi William, > Possibly you will be able to help me with your books that are collecting dust. :-) I have 2 Shelby County families that I have on 1880 census records that I would like to find parents names from mariage records? > The first is LEMONS family. Martha J. (widow) was living with family in Whitley, Moultrie but the family later moved to Shelby. Look for marriage of any of the following that would show father's name and Martha's maiden name. (1880 age after name) EDWARD N (26), JAMES R. (24), AMANDA F. (20), GEORGE W. (18), Miller J. (16), MAGGIE R. (13), EZRA O. (9). > The second is the SIMS family. The 1880 census listed them in Big Springs, Shelby. If a marriage record would give the maiden name of mother, PHOEBE? The family is: father, William H. (44), PHOEBE (34), THEODORE (20), EDDIE (16), MARY F. (14), ANNIE (13), > This looks like a big request but as I said I just need the info on the parents. > Thanks and Happy New Year. >
