Hi, I'm looking for information on a Dr. John SPELL. I am trying to find proof of Dr. John's mother & father. He was born in Indiana abt. 1823 and died between 1884 and 1900, probably in Shelby County, IL. He was a resident of Oconee in the 1870 and 1880 census. His daughter Mary Katherine (spelling of Kathryn or Cathrine etc.) married James Ireland in 1884 in Montgomery Co. and Dr. John was a witness at that marriage. Dr. John's wife was named Sarah and was still living in Oconee in 1900.
