    3. For Jeannet - By homestead records, do you mean public land domain sales records? All first ownership of federal lands in Illinois are recorded at the courthouses but the following site is also the list. Only the original ownership is listed. http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/ Eileen Bridges

    3. Jeannet, Go to you web browser. Type in the URL www.glorecords.blm.gov . It's the Bureau of Land Management site that contains all public land transfers to private owners by federal land patents, including homestead entries and other types of transfers. Follow the search instructions. Good luck!
