    3. Ron, I have blood connections to the Wakefield, Crocker, Hooper, Banks(t)on, Nance, and other families and no direct Moore connections, but I have corresponded with Tom Moore of Cowden regarding his Sellers/Bryant lines, as they have inlaw connections to my King/McDaniel lines. While I assume that you know him or know of him, if by chance you do not, maybe I can connect you. Unfortunately, I think you are stuck in the same place. I have some info on Moore compiled by Tom and his brother, I think. If you do not have the same info, get back to me. To everyone else, I will have a look at my Wakefield stuff. I have a lot, but we now all seem to have about the same thing. I do not have info on Arthur Crocker's siblings, and I would like to see that. If I missed it, I'm sorry to ask for the date it was posted. See if I can find it. It's been awhile since I've done work on my family, but the Wakefield name was prominent, but not a relative - if memory serves (which is doubtful!), a Wakefield may have lived with my ancestor, Andrew Jackson Moore, and I thought was even buried in the Moore Cemetery in Dry Point Township. Bess' email mentioning the familiar (to the Moore family) Nance name and the fact that she is from NC, prompted me to write. - If any are interested, I'll dig into my old notes and see what I can find on the Wakefields. - Also, as far as I can track Andrew (AJ, Jack) Jackson Moore is to Rutherford Co., NC in the early 1800's. I believe a family member went there to see if he could find anything but, of course, the courthouse had burned sometime in the past. Also, I believe that the county was divided up into several smaller counties. If anyone knows of anything concerning Andrew Jackson Moore (wife Rebecca) prior to settling in Dry Point Township in the 1830's, I would appreciate it. Thanks - first time responder, Ronald E. You are most definitely related to us. Your Susannah Wakefield is a different spelling, as we know her as Anna Wakefield, daughter of Martha Rachel Bankson, and Charles Wakefield. Anna Wakefield married a cousin, also named Charles Wakefield. And, I have that Anna married Thomas Pugh, after Charles died. How do the Wakefields tie into your family? My family names: Hooper, Bankson, Wakefield, Crocker, Lee, Alexander, Hays, Bradshaw, Haddox.
