Ron, I moved to Pana from Moweaqua in 1979. We lived 1/4 mile from the Shelby/Christian line. I attended school in Pana from 4th grade until graduation. I was highly involved with the Shelby County 4-H, starting out with the Moweaqua club and then Oconee and later Tower Hill. My mother still works with the Tower Hill club and still lives in Pana. My father was raised around Cowden. It is his family that I am trying to research. His mother was from Cowden and his father from Stew-Straus. Having started out knowing nothing I have been able to uncover some information on the Carlisle's from Cowden but have had no luck at all for the Thomas's in Stew-Straus. I haven't been back to Pana for quite some time. It always amazes me the changes that have taken place after years of the town seeming to be immune to it. Perhaps if you tell me a bit more about yourself, we may have some friends in common. Ron Eagan
