Tim, If you go to the Moultrie Co, IL site at the USGENWEB project, you will find a link to the Moultrie County site by Martin Eden. Click on that link and, among other things, you will find a copy of the 1881 History of Shelby and Moultrie Counties. I think you will find what you are looking for in that book. If you have trouble with that, I have a copy of the reprint of the book. I can probably scan some of the pages and send them to you.
